Night Watch is an outdoor exhibition where APT artists will use the agency of light to display their artworks. This will include movies projected into the windows of the building, illuminated sculptures and site specific illuminations. Visitors will be provided with a map to tour the Yard and this will have descriptions and explanations of the artworks themselves.

Although modest in ambition this display follows in the footsteps of what is becoming an increasing use of illuminated art to engage the public in what can be a dark and otherwise uninspiring time of year.

The event will coincide with the opening of the Gift exhibition in the APT Gallery.

On Friday the Night Watch will be accessible from the Gallery only from 6 pm to 8 pm.
On Saturday the Yard gates will be open from 6 pm to 8 pm.

John Berman from the UK Radio Astronomy Association will be giving a demonstration of his home made audio-visual muon* detector on the Friday evening.
